We are very keen to make the event as carbon neutral as possible. We would strongly encourage you to take public transport to the event which is within walking distance of West and North Dulwich stations, and within a short  distance of several bus routes.  There is more detailed information on travel at the foot of the message.

The official address, if you are driving to the park or arriving via the main Old College Gate entrance is College Road, SE21 7BQ. Parking at the College Gate entrance and in the car park costs £2 per hour payable by smart phone with the ‘Paybyphone’ App.     (https://www.southwark.gov.uk/parks-and-open-spaces/parks/dulwich-park).  Map of Park: H4-l-JIO0ulewM3eSXIAY4m8nsi7azD_oi94ovKZQXJbjjvfh_6amDZQEivVnbBZJrfGXUQqaCxQgRMl1cHyK_OqrlJQQ8coyhYO6i4jw1UgwHNproz_ecVJ4xvvEzWjvnOMc7qBCAgLzr9FLQF7WA

Route.

The 5 mile route is both in the park and also the roads around the park.   We do not have priority in either the park or the pavements by the road.  Please be respectful of others.   There are no roads to cross and no need to step into a road but please be mindful there are a few driveways leading into the south circular where vigilance is advised.

The route is officially measured

Start near our main base near the children’s playground running anti-clockwise
Run one full lap plus another slightly shorter lap and turn right at mile marker 2 towards Queen Mary’s Gate
Exit the park turning left onto the South Circular. Continue past the Rosebery Gate park entrance and about 100 meres later turn sharp left into Firemans Alley. Run to the end of Firemans Alley, (there is an incline towards the end) then turn left onto Lordship Lane. Follow the pavement as it veers round to the left and into Court Lane. Continue down Court Lane for about 600 metres and then turn left into the park at the Court Lane Gate.

100 meres into the park turn right to run anti clockwise around the carriageway. Follow this round and then take the same right turn as before to Queen Mary’s Gate for a second time
Proceed as before turning back into the park at Court Lane Gate.

Again, follow the carriage way in an anticlockwise direction and this time do not turn to Queen Mary's Gate but instead continue straight ahead to the finish which is a bit further along the carriageway from where you started.

In summary, nearly two laps of the park, two outside loops and a tad more.

Facilites

Toilets are marked on the map below.  Probably better to use those near the main gate as you enter the park as these are normally less busy. There are additional toilets in the Francis Peek building near the car park and in the café in the middle of the park.  Changing facilities are not available.

Water and Picnic

Please bring your own water.   We will have a water station for the race but it will help everyone if you can bring your own as well. The water station will be available twice during the 5 mile race on the approach to Queen Mary Gate at miles 2 and 3.5ish and further water will be available at the finish/food tent.

We will be providing a picnic.
