Meeting Location: meet in the grass area at the western end of Central Avenue in Battersea Park.
Start time: 10k - the main race will start at 9.30am. The provisional times for the other races are as follows: Tenderfoot run 10.30am, Fun Run 11:00am, Relays at 11.15am.
There will be a picnic provided for all attending.
Race format: The race start will be a mass start unlike the waves of last year. There will be a UKA qualified timekeeper. The race will be held under UK Athletics rules. Licence number 2022-42382.
Warm-up: please warm up away from the start and finish areas. Please return to the start area 5 minutes before the start of the race.
Course: 10k: Four and a bit laps anticlockwise. Start at the track end of Central Avenue. Finish at the western end of Central Avenue. Tenderfoot: out and back course along the length of Central Avenue. Start and finish at the western end of Central Avenue (where the 10k finishes). Turn at the track end of Central Avenue. Fun run and relays will be in the space adjoining the picnic area.
Finish: a finish funnel formed of cones will be set up on the left-hand side of Central Avenue. Please walk to the end of the funnel so that you can be given your place ticket. You will need to give your place ticket to your Team Manager.
Changing and toilets: there are no changing facilities. Please come ready to run. If you want to use the changing rooms at the Millennium Arena, you will have to pay a modest fee. Public toilets in the park will be open. The closest to the start and finish are those located near to the Bandstand.
Baggage: there will be an informal self-service baggage area in the vicinity of the meeting point. Please supply your own bag. The area is open and is not secure. Therefore, articles are left at the individual’s own risk. We recommend that you do not bring valuables.
Water: there will be a drinks station on the course and water will be available at the finish. Please bring your own drinks where possible.
Other park users: you do not have priority over other park users so please act with consideration towards them.
Medical: We want EVERYONE to feel safe at our race. Please behave in a considerate way towards other people and act in a responsible manner.
You must undertake a self-assessment for Covid symptoms. Do not travel to the race if you, or someone in your household, etc., are showing any symptoms of Covid or if you have been told to isolate.
Please make sure you are fit enough to run 10km (6.2 miles). If in doubt, please consult your doctor or medical practitioner.
If you see a runner with a problem, please stop to assist them and get help as soon as possible.
Travel – Please check the TFL website for other engineering related line closures. National Rail services may be disrupted following the strike planned for Saturday.. There are three public car parks in Battersea Park. The cost is £2.70 for less than 3 hours and £5.40 for longer.
