Hi runners!

We look forward to welcoming you all to Dulwich Park on Sunday 2 June for the first event in this year's Summer League calendar.

As usual we will be setting up next to the children's playground.  The route remains the same: one loop inside the park, a second loop around the outside of the park which takes in part of Dulwich Village (please be careful of people eating and drinking at the pavement cafes during this loop), and a third loop which exits the park and then cuts back in again in Court Lane.  Marshals will be posted at all significant points to help you.

Please note that this year another event is taking place in the park at the same time as our event – the Luna Film Festival.  They will be setting up very close to us, next to the bowling green.  This should not impact on us at all but please remain alert, particularly as this is a children's event and there may be more small people around than usual.  A map is attached which shows where the playground and bowling green are.

There is parking available in the car park located inside the park, and also in nearby residential streets.  Please be mindful of dropped-kerbs and entrances to private drives.

The Summer League wants to be as environmentally friendly and sustainable as possible, and in that vein can I ask that runners and supporters bring their own picnic plates/sandwich boxes/etc so that we can cut down on the number we dispose of after the event?  We will of course provide cups for the water during the race but again, if you have your own water bottle or collapsible cup that we can refill it would be great if you could bring them along.

We have put in an order for gentle sunshine (nothing too hot!) and hope that everyone has a great time.

Happy running!

Paula, on behalf of Dulwich Park Runners
